For this collaborative brief we was told to choose our creative partners very carefully. Some people on our course had already arranged their partners during reading week but because of personal troubles during the last module and throughout reading week, i was not aware of any collaboration brief. Even if i had known i wouldn't of just chosen someone because they were my friend or i had wanted to work with them. I'm very much a analyser and statistics person. I like to choose people who work hard and have areas of my design practice that i am not very strong at.

Using advertisements each student got given 3 stickers to write ours names on and to place on some other students advert. Like my advert below, each advert had your qualities and what you expected from your fellow designer. The process of looking through every advert took a rather long time. So long that i was the only student left with all three stickers in my hand. After cross referencing and comparing each designers qualities i decided to choose Matt Milner, Tim Wan and Craig Laing. All three had similar styles, very contemporary and minimal. All three had also chosen me including Sam Reynolds; but it was Tim who court my interest. Both me and him have very similar design styles and have very similar rounded design practices. This i felt would only be more beneficial for this brief. However because of my indecisiveness i had no partner at one point. Matt had gone with Dave, Craig had gone with Edd and Tim was with kate. Who could i go with? Everyone had a partner so i ended up going with Kate and Tim as a trio.

Kate i feel i can learn a lot from. She's more hands on compared to me and has a different learning style compared to me and Tim. I also thought it was great to be with someone who is great at stop-motion and video graphics. I feel that this trio is very strong as a group. We all get along, are very organised and all very hard working. With all our skills combined i feel that whatever brief we do we should win.
