Below are some initial concept story boards. The aim of these storyboards is to help me come up with a clear structure to my idents so that they have a similar pattern running throughout all five.
The idea of the story board above is that a different weapon is used for all 5 idents. The double barrel shotgun if famous in lock stock, the silencer from layer cake and the bottle used to murder colin in the long good friday. Each weapon used will have some significance.
Like the above idea, this one uses objects too. because of my in-depth research into each movie i was hoping to use a bit of it in my idents. With this idea it tells more of a story of the life of a gangster using references from each movie. The only problem with this idea is that it might be too long and too big for a 10 second frame.
The idea for this one was inspired from "catch me if you can" into by soul bass. Yet again using objects from my research but objects that are well recognised from those movies. Each ident will use the same image but picture it from different area's.
This idea involves showing key characters from the movies. One ident could show the bad guys, the other the women and the other might be the main characters. Each character will fade into the screen before fading out. A little more mysterious. It also will give the impression that being a gangster is not all that great.
The idea above was inspired by the introduction to the incredible hulk. This idea plays with the view from the police. How they see the characters. It will focus more on facts about each character and key moments from each movie.
The final one is my favourite. Using key events in each movie and vectorising them. The story board above is from sexy beast. The moment where the bolder nearly falls on top of Gal. Some bits are not shown so they will be developed by what i would among would of happened. However yet again this might prove too long.
